At £7.00/mg, TB-500 costs more per mg than BPC-157 at £2.80/mg, despite TB-500 being the shorter sequence of the two (the seven-residue fragment Ac-LKKTETQ against BPC-157's fifteen residues). Sequence length is one input to synthesis cost, not the only one, purification difficulty, yield and current reagent cost all move independently of residue count, which is exactly why cross-compound price comparisons are an unreliable proxy for value.
